National Gear Repair always creates blueprints of every gear box we repair, even repeating models as they change over the years to keep an archive of every gearbox we have worked. With decades of experience being Industrial Gearbox Repair Pros we have picked up a few good note taking habbits. This aids us with sharpening our own abilities as technicians as well as having resources to be able to complete our production gearboxes that may be considered Legacy gearboxes. Not many Gearbox Repair centers around the world are able to repair legacy gearboxes, However National Gear Repair prides itself on its ability to repair “old school” out of production or “legacy” gearboxes thanks to our archives. This comes in really handy with Gearboxes that are no longer in production as most mills are designed to work around the industrial equipment. Switching to a newer model of a gearbox is an expensive endeavor due to the cost of the gearbox itself as well as all the retrofitting of the equipment that works in tandem with the gearbox. The best solution is always to fix the gearbox that occupied that space in the first place.
